I know this is a little late but OMG THE GIG WAS AWESOME! Aidil was our guest vocalist for the day. There were a few minor setbacks such as halim tuning to drop C while i tuned to drop D so the sound didnt really mix up well. Nonetheless it was still fun as hell because we got everyone to sing along. My favourite was definately the part when everyone sang 'Smash apart what you create.. TED!' omg it was so cool cause like 20+ people all sang that line. HAHA i love it! The sound quality sucks but thats the best I can get from my nikon coolpix cam. its not a camcorder so the quality isnt that good.
I didnt sing much for this gig because its hard as hell for me to sing and play at some parts. dont be harsh on aidil because he was screaming like crazy the day before from our practice session AND he has to do high notes. trust me, i've heard him do high notes and he can go f'ing high without any problems HAHA. anyways halim brought like an army of his secondary school friends? omg it was like close to 20 of them sia! I actually recognise some of them from playing street soccer ages ago. I brought mizi, hafiz, isa, ihsan and fairul to the gig because they wanted to see me perform. woo it was so fun! HAH i still cant forget everyone in the room singing along to smashed into pieces. OH YA and HEY JOHN TOO! 'Well it must be difficult! claiming to be, the kings and queen but its ALL! for nothing!'. I'll compile all the cool/funny things captured by our camera man, fairul during the gig. i'll finish it asap so you guys can laugh at stupid things like mizi stealing danial's mic AHAHA. I have a bloody test tmr on cognitive so im gonna go off now to revise. I'll put up the compilation of the videos very soon! :D
Before i end this entry, i'd like to say sorry for not updating for almost a week because i was really busy preparing for the gig and also busy with school stuff. i'll update soon enough! anyone got any lobangs for a good vocalist? preferably a girl who can hit high notes, that'd make our lives easier sia! woohoo! From left to right Herrizal, Qais, Syamil and Jonny! Actually people like Faisal, Kalle, Lilo, Daryl, Aaron etc were supposed to be in the picture but they either left early or are too shy to take pics :P. It was syam's idea for the guys to wear formal black today and there we go! Faisal and Mr Handsome, Kalle was supposed to be in the pic but they ran off to god knows where at the last minute. this is the first time i ever tried to edit a picture... yes i have awesomely bad editing skills. I just edited the contrast, brightness and fumbled around with the other settings. hey dont look at me, im clueless when it comes to editing pics!
anyways today's lesson was alright I guess because the whole class was lively. Li Min kept 'correcting' everyone's mistakes and we were pretty impressed until we all had nothing to say. Then its the usual for us, do work then play need for speed undercover and left4dead. Yes, you all shall awe in the presence of my b-e-a-u tiful Lamborghini Gallardo..... that I can only afford in the game. unless of course I become a millionaire in the future, tsk tsk. Oh yes, I was sick yesterday because of the rain. I only had my hoodie to protect me from the cold drops of rain while i was walking back home. nice. Anyways, i logged on msn the other night and kalle intiated a convo that is quite interesting and funny. okay so theres this girl in the class right, we call her 'superstar'. She is bloody irritating (to me) because of multiple disgusting ways and also she never does anything. read the convo for more info. Then from that topic, we totally moved to girls. Kalle is a totally cool guy I tell you!
No, im not overreacting but she really is like a perv u know. eee. must avoid at all costs man! anyways its nice to know that Kalle likes chinese girls too. welcome to the club! Qais you too right? :D We talked about lots of things after that so in a way i got to know him much better and vice versa. well I have to practice the songs on my guitar so i shall end it here. our last practise session will be this friday at tiet room 3! Halim wasnt kidding when he said that he wanted to book 3 hours for us. If i go deaf after that session, im killing him. im still pissed about getting a C after writing 638 words that does make sense so i shall calm myself down. stupid school. We went for a practice session from 330 to 430 just now at tiet and it was quite good. the only problem for today was the microphone giving us a headache with the irritating feedback sounds. you know the screeching 'teeeeeeeeeet' sounds. Mizi, Aidil and Fizz tagged along and they said that the best song that we played for today is definately 'hey john, whats your name again?' by the devil wears prada! YEAHHH!!! you could hate the screamo even though its awesome but even screamo haters will love the chorus singing parts AHAH. the guy's voice is super nice. its like as if hes feeling damn sad when he sang the 2nd chorus. he sang it with pure emotion sia! listen to the song and you'll know what i mean. i always listen to that 2nd chorus when im feeling down... like last night. heh. confessions, confessions. :x

Everyone in the room was headbanging when danial screamed 'Congratulations for mutilation!' in the song AHAH. holy cow, it was so synchronised! how i wish we took a video of it. nvm this saturday, 4:30pm at fad studios. Please come and support our band 'what lies within' okay ppls? :D buy the tickets from me. and whoever's going, take video and pics if possible :P. if its nice enough i'll put it here. we met up with fairul at shaw and watched x men origins: wolverine! its a nice movie with my favourite character GAMBIT in it :D. it also has deadpool, zero, sabertooth, cyclops and some other funny funny characters in it. of course gambit is still my favourite since i was a kid. gambit and his flying cards :D. if you havent watch it, you really should because its really awesome.
oh and mizi is bloody noisy in the cinema lah! he says deadpool or wade looks like the guy from eyes set to kill's 'darling' music video. omg he shouted so loud! then got once he even said 'eh these couple infront of me are watching twilight ah? why are they hugging each other?' -_-. i think the people around us were irritated at times. ahya mizi you ah.. but you're still funny as hell :P. here's something random from last week.

Those pics were taken on wednesday when we were celebrating mizi's bday. Me and Fiz spent like 3 hours walking from marina to suntec and then to raffles place trying to search for the correct hoodie to buy for him. It was damn far and tiring lah but for the sake of our good friend, we had to do it. It was meant to be a surprise for him so we acted as if we didnt buy for him anything. HAHHA you should've seen the look on his face when we said that we didnt buy for him anything because we donno what to buy. 1 look on his face and you'll figure out that hes probably thinking 'bastards... let me have false hope. worst bday ever'. So when hes more relaxed, we decided to whip out our surprise. A white topman hoodie! He has always been wanting it so we decided to buy it for him as a present. I wish my bday is as memorable as you guys haha.

This further proves that the ref was bloody unfair towards chelsea. 6 PENALTY CHANCES, and not 1 of them awarded. wow that is RETARDED. Andres Iniesta's goal on the 93rd minute is really icing on the cake. I watched the match and all i can say is that the referree is a complete and utter jackass. Every single chelsea player on the field were furious with him like drogba, malouda, john terry, ballack, essien heck even the manager Guus Hiddink is mad at the ref.
BLAH, im still pissed about it like every other chelsea fan. Just now, dunno for what reason everyone started clapping their hands like hell as soon as i went through the door -_-. Then when i played the chelsea vs barcelona highlights, kalle shouted 'GOOOOOAAAAL' as loud as possible when iniesta score. URGH. nevermind, play cheat somemore barca just wait until you meet man utd in the finals! yes i know im being a sore loser but a true fan will always defend his team no matter what and my heart is with Chelsea so Barcelona can rejoice for a short period of time before they get smashed apart by Man Utd. YOU'LL SEE! I'll update tmr night(for real) as compensation for not updating when i promised to do so last night. BLAH. Chelsea should've won.
Theres minor changes to the band because apparently Isaac can't commit so unfortunately we have to drop him. so that leaves us with 2 choices, ask jack's girlfriend to sing or ask somebody else. I have to ask Aidil if he can help us because hes really good with the high notes and silverstein stuff. i bet he wont have trouble singing hey john whats your name again since jack is doing all the screamo.
okay after talking to Aidil, im glad to say that he's gonna be singing for us on 16th may. WOOHOO!!! :D... 'WILL DO BRO!' ahahah.. inside joke :P. aaah i have to discuss with the guys on when to practice so i'll end it here. We had a practice session just now from 5pm to 7pm at tiet studio and WAHHAHA IT WAS DA BOMB! Everything went perfectly even though Isaac didnt come. Honestly it was the best session so far with my band. We also came up with a name for our band. We were brain-storming in the bus and i suggested that we make a phrase. we came up with 'what lies within' as that was what we could think of. Everyone did well today even jack's girlfriend. I added a few extra power chords and palm mutes for 'this year's most open heartbreak' to make it sound even better :D. Just wait for 16th may ppls! I was really sick few days ago but im doing alot better now. that's why i didnt update on the weekends, i really had no energy to do so.
