Singapore Idol yesterday was AMAZING! Charlene, Sylvia and Mae Sta Maria (sp?) looked absolutely gorgeous last night. I was kinda sad that Charlene and Jonathan didnt go through but Sylvia and Mae really deserved to go to the top 13. My prediction: they're gonna be one of the last few people in sg idol. I also predict that this time around, the winner of singapore idol will be a girl. I would really want Sylvia or Mae to win because their voices are just... wow! When Sylvia sang 'mercy' i was really impressed.

its all about ignorance

If you're a paramore fan, you'll probably know that their new album 'brand new eyes' is gonna be released soon. I heard a couple of their new songs and its pretty good so far. This song ignorance is like a toned down version of misery business but i'm looking forward to listening to their other songs. I watched the making of ignorance music video and apparently hayley said that the lyrics are about her feeling unwanted by her band mates. She wanted to make the video totally reflect on the song so if you look at the video and the lyrics, you'll probably figure out that she was being ignored countless amount of times. There was this one time last year when paramore cancelled a few live shows to 'sort things out' and there were also rumours of the band breaking up and hayley going solo. so that's probably how this song came along.

I blame the mainstream fans because when most mainstream people think of paramore, they only think about hayley and not the others. theres no doubt that shes very unique and has one hell of a voice but you gotta give credit to the other guys too. Lets hope their new album doesn't suck because all the mainstream fans are loving them right now. I listen to a lot of songs mainstream or underground but some songs like the ting ting's 'that's not my name' just make my ears bleed all over the place. I mean come on! its sounds absolutely horrible! it kinda shows what kind of music mainstream people like :/. oh and lets also hope those kind of people actually listen to the other songs made by paramore.

okay enough of ranting. I wanna pre-order paramore's new album on itunes! I just found out how to buy things again with itunes with my US account that I used when I was in houston. I had 30 bucks worth of value in there so i spent a couple of bucks on some songs. last thing for this entry: aidil, i'll upload the other 3 covers by us on facebook very soon. enjoy the new blog song!

bah! i've been quite moody tonight for a lot of reasons maybe because of one main reason. but the other things just keep making it worse. an example of the other small things would be finding out that my camera that my brother borrowed is SPOILED. wtf? me and the guys had to use my laptop webcam for our heartless cover on facebook. all thanks to my brother. good job, assh... geez. see what I mean I kept giving people sarcastic replies all night long too. its like im throwing a hissy fit at anyone who talks to me including my mom, aunts, uncles, cousin etc. 1 thing will lead to another and thus irritate me even more.


sometimes, i just worry too much... URGH. stupid.

Okay I realised that my previous entry was pretty long so i'm gonna paste the cover of me and mizi in this entry instead and continue on. If you want to read about Baybeats and how awesome Anberlin was, read my previous entry! I've also changed my blog song to paperthin hymn. Its the first song from anberlin that I listened to and I got hooked ever since! :D. the video is really touching btw.

From my previous entry pasted here: Let me get this out of the way first. I sang this for my singapore idol first audition! This is the short clip of the cover but the whole song is on facebook :). The video on facebook is much longer and it has our dedications at the start. Both of us were like fighting for the mic AHAHA! You guys should hear mizi's dedication: 'this is to the one i love, you know I love you too!'.. aww! :P My voice quite is messed up because of the shouting yesterday but oh well. SOMEBODY was supposed to sing unwinding cable car but he didn't turn up. ahya. nvm we'll do it some other time! Remember to use your headphones guys, its much better because there's some static sounds. I feel like covering daughters by John Mayer or Thunder by Boys like Girls. I'm gonna post them on facebook for my friends to see once i'm done!

TONIGHT: well I watched singapore idol just now and it was alright in my opinion. A couple of people sang really well especially the girls. I'm glad the guy with the crap attitude didnt get to the final 12. I don't know his name but omg he's so arrogant! I also agree with Ken Lim that Nurul Huda should've went through because she sang well. Other than that there is nothing else to say about singapore idol so far because its kinda boring :/. i'm not saying that because i'm a sore loser or anything but they could definately make it more exciting by alot of ways. I also think that they kinda rushed the whole season and the whole thing seems very short. It'll be better if they made it a little longer.

Anyways i've feeling very weird for these past few days but I really don't know why ahaha. Mizi, only you know what i mean. By the way I was quite shocked that night okay ahaha. I'm just really really glad that it turned out well. But like I said, I dont want to jump to conclusions yet. and of course I really dont want to go back to square one [1] where theres no communication at all.

Well i'm gonna end it here but i'll update soon! Friday me, mizi and aidil are gonna cover the unwinding cable car by anberlin! its gonna be great because we're gonna play it in the TOILETTTTT. Yes. you heard me. Because that's where the best acoustics are at so you know it has all the echo. we could use my line6 pod but it wont sound that nice when it comes to acoustic songs. Unless someone is willing to let us use their Semi-Acoustic Guitar. We can plug that into any amplifier or we can just plug it into my line6 pod to record. THEN the sound would be heavenly. okay, im gonna end it here!

'for as long as I live, I will not forget this night' by Stephen from Anberlin

Okay to start things off, i'd like to say that I delayed this entry by a couple of hours as I fell asleep while lying on my bed around 10pm. my mom bought a wall-fan for my room so the person had to come and fix the switch and all. It took forever plus my room got very dusty so I decided to sleep in my brother's room and the next thing I know, its already 2:30am. This entry is gonna be long entry because of baybeats.

WHO DO YOU SEE IN THE MIDDLE AT TOPMAN?!!?!?!?

Yes, thats Stephen from Anberlin. Mizi, Isa and Zaki saw him walking around marina square around 4 plus so they decided to take a picture with him. !@#$% I was at swee lee around that time. I should've followed them man ahya.. but nevermind!

Alot of things happened during baybeats. It was fun, awesome, painful because I got kicked on the face during the whole moshing thing and sometimes disappointing because of the mats. The band before anberlin's acoustic set was audiocean and they were quite good. Anberlin's acoustic set was really brilliant especially how they improvise every single song when it comes to vocals and the guitar. I can say that Stephen is very creative when it comes to live performances! The moment they played the unwinding cable car, oh my. :D. The funny thing is that the first song they played was 'a day late' and I was like 'omg. first song is this song already? wth. -_-' AHHA. I had a very bad start for the day because I couldn't find my camera and it turns out that my brother took it. I was late so the guys left without me and mizi got to take photo with anberlin's frontman. Lucky ass. BUT my day didnt end up to be a horrible one. seriously, it didnt! :D

We sang along like a choir for the acoustic set and overall it was pretty fun. We ate at popeyes, relaxed there for awhile and we went to the powerhouse to catch the band before anberlin. This time its a band from the Philippines and they're called 'The Ambassadors'. They were really good in my opinion and I really enjoyed their set. They sound alot like sum 41 + all time low + blink 182.

Anberlin's powerhouse performance was........... AMAZING. Everyone was rocking out to them and singing along. It was my first time in a mosh and I got really irritated by the mats moshing at totally wrong times especially during a slow song. Alot of people were body surfing, jumping around, shouting like hell etc. I got kicked on the face by someguy who was body surfing and it left me with a cut on the left side of my face. urgh. what an asshole. Aidil also got punched on the head because of some reckless idiots who mosh during a slow song. Me and the guys felt sorry for the girls who were near the front because they were trying to get out but those matreps kept pushing and pushing. some of them fell on the floor and some of us helped them up while those idiots continued to mosh even when theres somebody injured infront of them. Somemore its a girl who's injured on the floor! fucking idiots. We helped her up and she was trembling in fear. We all felt really bad for her but we were damn pissed with the people who are being assholes. sheesh.

Nonetheless, we ignored that and enjoyed singing along to songs like Paperthin Hymn, Feel Good Drag, Whisper and a Clamor, DISMANTLE REPAIR!!!, Fin, Adelaide etc. I shouted like hell with razak for paperthin hymn, feel good drag and dismantle repair. Those 3 are like my favourite songs. I kept jumping and shouting 'dismantle me nowww! REPAIR! You've dismantled me! You've dismantled me!'. Everyone thought they were done after Dismantle Repair but they played Fin because literally everyone were shouting 'we want more!'. It was obvious that they were really happy to perform in singapore and Stephen said that they're gonna come back real soon. I'm hoping that they'll make a concert in singapore. If they do, i'm totally gonna buy the tickets!

Look at Isa's shoe! Our shoes from white became black and from black became brown. We were like drenched with sweat and we all look like we just got beat up. On the way back a couple of good things happened so lets just leave it at that okay? ;). ahahhah. anyways overall it was an enjoyable and a totally unforgettable night. The thing that pissed me off the most is how the mats were moshing during a slow song and someone even threw a SHOE at anberlin's bassist when they were performing. Please la, if you were performing and someone throws a shoe at you, wouldn't you be mad?! Luckily the bassist dodged it. The amount of people who go there to only mosh is staggering. Its about appreciating music and they only go there to mosh. I hope if anberlin comes again in the future, these type of people wont be present because it ruins the whole thing for us. I would pay to watch anberlin again!

I can say that yesterday night was one of the most memorable moments in my life so far! :D. I really enjoyed every moment of it! oh yea and now anberlin is one of my favourite bands ever! next to my one and only linkinpark. okay this is already long so i shall end it here.
