im gonna keep this post short and simple because im watching a movie on HBO. its called 'definately, maybe'. its a romantic comedy about this guy's 10 year old daughter asking him about how his life was before he got married. so far its pretty funny,cute and romantic at times. theres a couple of scenes that made me go 'aww!' ahaha :D. anyways yesterday's practice session with my band was pretty SWEEEEEEET! we played all the songs well except for 'beat your heart out' by the distillers. we did horribly so we decided to drop the song. The next practice session is gonna be interesting because we're adding 4 new songs that we havent played together.

we're heading towards the same genre as katherina which is post-hardcore! if you guys don't know what post-hardcore is, its a mixture of normal singing and screamo. i dont like too much screaming too so yeah haha. okay i shall end it here because im still watching the movie. the guy's girlfriend flew halfway across the globe just to see him again after months and got her heart broken when she found out that hes about to be engaged with another girl. omg he broke her heart so bad! aww now her daughter is crying. okay this movie is getting really interesting because apparently its not the end! i'll continue updating some other time. unfortunately this blog entry doesnt have pictures unlike my previous blog post but im kinda busy watching the movie now so i shall end it here.

hello ppls! :D so we played at the kallang cage just now and it was bittersweet in a way. I didnt have much stamina so i didnt run as much as i used to. The good thing about it is that we had so much fun playing even though we're not used to the pitch. We also played with a scottish kid named Michael. we got tricked so many times because he was skilled and fast! but leman is still better than him because leman is just pure genius when he gets the ball. he's like kaka + torres + zidane + cris. ron :P. i still can't forget how leman dribbled past 6 to 7 people alone and finishing it off so calmly.

well after that me and guys went to tiet studio for their practice session. omg that session was probably the best session ever. I got to sing a couple of songs with Aidil and it sounded great because if aidil has trouble on some high notes, i'll help him out and vice versa. They also played 'the word best friend become redefined' by chiodos and it was damn good for their first try. Isa's keyboarding skills made the song so emotional LOL. they actually played the song a total of 8 times in that one session only. crazy right? ahhhh im so jealous of katherina lah :P. they're really improving each time theres a gig. i have a session later with my band so hopefully everyone learned the songs. if we screw it up again... i really don't know what to say. we shall see!

I feel like playing soccer again at the kallang cage next week. i think the next time im going there, i'll be using my street soccer shoes instead of my boots because i can't dribble well with my shoes. i wanna dribble like kaka!!! ahah :P. im gonna try to learn kaka's dribbling technique and hopefully it'll help me. yes, kaka is so much better than cris ron. the most important thing is that: HE DOESNT DIVE. oh and kaka doesnt switch girls as if hes changing clothes unlike some man utd player... pfft :D.

not fair lah, those famous soccer players all get beautiful wives. Kaka's wife is... gorgeous. they were together since they were teens sia! same case as torres. torres also dated his soon to be wife when they were teenagers. ah well, cute family right there. kaka isnt the only one who has a beautiful or hot wife/girlfriend. Rooney, Torres, Shevchenko, Steven Gerrard, Cris. Ron, Bastian Schweinsteiger, David Beckham, Joe Cole etc. Ballack has an ugly wife though and he also has 3 kids. here i'll show you guys what i mean by soccer players having beautiful wives. holy crap im telling you, Bastian Schweinsteiger's girlfriend is F'ING HOT. im not even kidding, click on the 2nd picture. sorry girls, these models already 'chopped' your dream date. vice versa for guys because these soccer stars already 'chopped' the hot models. damn you Schweinsteiger.. URGH.

okay lah im being mean because as long as they're happy, that should be okay. not even I will tell

i dont even know why im still awake when i have work later. well um, i didnt do much for the whole day since im not working today. played Sims 2, Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty: World at War, Left 4 Dead, Fifa Online and CS Source because i had nothing better to do. i kept switching games after 5 mins because its easy as hell for me to get bored if i play it alone ahaha, i need someone to keep me occupied when im rotting at home :x. but who?! who's kind enough to accompany/entertain me all day long with endless kiddy-like behavior?! :O. I also practiced a couple of songs on my guitar just now for saturday's practice session. Apparently Halim got an offer from his uncle for us to play in a nightclub so its no fooling around now. me and jack have been very strict about learning the songs. we've been reminding halim to practice everyday :P. hey we're being good friends okay, if he wasnt such a good friend me and jack would've kicked him off the band months ago. theres a street soccer session on friday at kallang cage, but its not confirmed yet because we only have 8 people now and we need atleast 15 people. ive been wanting to go there for quite sometime now :D

aaaaaaaand that brings me back to work. i have to sleep now because i have work later and i shall update tonight.

the definition of racial harmony

hello ppls! :D im sorry but i didnt notice that my msn was showing me as busy while i was away. I dont even know how come it showed me as busy when im not. so that means ive been on the busy status for the past 3 hours now :/. well im updating right now so here we go. I went to go jamming with aiden's band last night and wow it was awesome. im sure you guys heard of a multi-racial band but have you ever heard of a multi-national band? LOL that pretty much explains his band. it was so funny because everyone has roots from different countries. I met aiden, kamarul and michael. Michael is half thai and when we met, he kept asking if i was a foreigner ahaha. Kamarul is the drummer and holy balls he plays it like a machinegun. aiden is damn good at shredding the guitar especially for 'waking the demon'. so we were packing up after the session was over and kamarul went on to advertise his mom's cake business.

Aiden: we can jam at my place, i have a jamming room at home so we can jam anytime!
Kamarul: your house looks big because it doesnt have lots of furniture.. my house is messy because my mom sells cakes. good ones! alot of people like to buy them.
Aiden: really? that means i can order a cake next week for my friend's bday. is there a discount for a band member?
Michael: what the hell, jamming also got time to advertise your mom's cakes ah?
Me: he's taking advantage of it, this is what you call marketing strategy ahah
Kamarul: eh why, cannot advertise my mom's cakes is it?!

after that we just sat down and got to know each other more. Aiden told us that he was initially from Anglo Chinese International but he got expelled for constantly coming to school late. its not his fault because he lives at bukit batok so he's in a different school now. he also told us that his mom was going to send him to a music school in hollywood after his O's. he should definately go for it because hes bloody talented for his age! we all went our separate ways after that because i had to meet isaac and the others at bukit timah. on the way there, i met wei qi and i have to admit shes definately prettier and cuter ever since shes got into ngee ann AHAHA :P. nothing personal okay, i just think that she got prettier thats all. wen jie dont kill me ah, please.

so i met up with isaac, halim and jack to discuss about band stuff over dinner. finally we got through to halim's thick skull. we kinda made him realise that hes slowing us down so he needs to step up the pace. thankfully he took it calmly and didnt go all defensive like we all expected him to. phew. we got 2 new songs to learn and they are three days grace - animal i have become and the distillers - beat your heart out. I wanted to play riot and gone forever by three days grace but starting with animal i have become is a good idea to build the chemistry. i love those 2 songs by three days grace especially RIOT! omg it has a sick guitar riff. well ive been falsely stated as busy on my msn for over 3 hours so i sincerely apologise if you've been waiting for me to finish this entry. i didnt even know that i was put to busy when i was watching tv. urgh! so sorry people! okay im gonna get myself something to munch on then im off to bed. i'll update tmr night, promise.

im kinda tired now so all i wanna say is that i have work later from 11pm to 5pm. its saturday so i just hope to god that there isnt going to be a wave of customers. oh yeah and another thing i'd like to say in my blog. most s'poreans are okay but i have to say that SOME s'poreans are real jerks when it comes to food. please lah, you dont pay me enough to entertain your bullshit. oh wait, you dont even pay me at all! buy cheap things and have high expectations, go kill yourself man! no TIP somemore. what a joke, pfft. its all in the job i guess :/. see this is why i always refrain from asking too much from waiters/waitresses when i dine at restaurants. its the minority though, thankfully. i have no work for today so i just relaxed at home. i shall end it here because i dont really have much to say. maybe i'll update at night but for now im off to bed.

hello ppls! :D i still have some energy left so i shall update. work was alright just now, not too tiring because there wasn't much people. thank god. i shall talk about my work later but for now i wanna talk about my new AC Milan shirt :D. my bro bought it for me last night because he got his pay i think. Original AC Milan Jersey YEAH!! :D. heres some pics of it. I really love the quality of the shirt because its soooo smooth and it looks good!

the 2nd pic is screwed up because i smudged the lenses :O. anyways i'd like to thank my brother for buying me the shirt because i really wanted one for a loooong time. i was actually hoping that some kind soul would buy this shirt for me for my bday but i already got it so i shall not whine about wanting AC Milan shirts any longer. this shirt is so cool it even has the 'rossoneri' label at the back of the collar WAHHAA. I am officially a proud rossoneri! YES! :D

okay well i shall talk more about my job. basically im working at.... some place you'll never know so you can't kacau me during my work. OKAY FINE, its at holland village okay. some restaurant in there which specialises in coffee (its not coffee bean, restaurant lah). i don't even know why the coffee there is soooo expensive. im not much of a coffee person so thats probably why i don't know. my boss is a filipino lady in her 40's. shes like very kind from the start ahha. she has been treating me as if im her son or something, im serious! she's a cool boss and definately not the jackass type. more of a motherly figure i guess. so i was about to take my break when this happened:

me: hey alma, im gonna take my break now. is that okay?
alma(boss): yeah okay, you can't wait to go for your break right?
me: huh, what do you mean?
alma: now its break already, you can go text or call your girlfriend lah!
me: ...
alma: haha go for your break! *laughs*

well yea err... awkward moment there but shes still cool. it did ruin my day a little though... blah. well im gonna go to bed now since its frickin 2:24am and im getting distracted by jack and halim on msn discussing about what to improve on. so i shall end it here and update soon!

hello ppls! :D okay lets start off with katherina's gig alright? their gig was an enjoyable one because they played so well that the people there were literally asking them to play another song after they're done with their 4 songs. it was really funny because i think mizi and the guys didnt even expected that ahaha. the previous band playing before them was really good too. some post hardcore band playing devil wears prada and parkway drive. PARKWAY DRIVE!!! their cover of boneyards by PWD was average in my opinion but the guitarist is still good. moving on, i shall talk about how psycho the octo-mom is. if you havent heard of the octo mom, you should read news articles on yahoo more. the US version of yahoo that is, not the singapore one. they have interesting news over at us.yahoo.com :D.

so if you dont know the story behind the octo mom, heres the deal: she had 6 children ranging from 8(i think) and below. so she decided that it would be cool to have another 8 more children so thats 14 children. mind you, she had her egg cells stored/modified so that she can give birth to 8 children at once so its not 'god's will'. its her own will. i think shes nuts because she can't even handle 6 children let alone 14. hey dont get me wrong, giving birth is a special moment but 14 children? you gotta be kidding. what, are you trying to form a football team? omg still got enough for 3 substitutes since its 11 players per team on the pitch :P. the funniest thing is that she gave birth to 8 children so she has to pay 8 bills. total cost = around 500 grand(if im not wrong) AHAHAHA. the most irritating part about her is when she constantly argued that she can handle things by her own but then weeks later she pleaded for donations and for people to help her out. unfortunately the sad part about it is that if she does not take care of her kids within 6 months, the children are gonna be taken from her custody. so sad :(. well everyone knew that was coming... except her!

you know what? I think if im going to have a family with my wife in the future, i'll just stick to two or three kids. one child is alright but he or she needs the 'big brother/sister'. oh and also preferably a girl because small boys are naughty as hell like my very cute indonesian cousin Nabil :D. sis if you're wondering who that is, its Aunt Yunie's son. i dont think you saw him before because he was born after you went to US. its weird because Kalisa, Patricia and Alicia are so good but Nabil is just evil reincarnate AHAH. okay lah hes not THAT bad. hes damn cute and white though! last thing for the night, Aiden wants me to sing BFMV songs for his band. i think i'll do it as a side project because its just singing. messed up

sooo tmr is katherina's gig once again but this time its at 930pm so im not sure if i can update tmr or not. blah my previous entries have been rather bland lately so i shall add pictures/videos soon enough. plus i'll talk about more interesting things. Like the OCTOMOM! thats one crazy woman i tell you. 14 children, wow thats enough to make an entire football team with 3 subs. i wonder how she's going to withstand that much crying. ahaha that woman is crazy! alright im gonna get some things done then im off to bed. hopefully i dont dream about stupid things again :x.

get my way or nothing will move on

im seriously damn pissed about yesterday's practice session. cause you know why?! i'll tell you why.

- I told them to learn the f'ing songs 2 weeks ago. Roses for the Dead, My Heroine and Smashed into Pieces.
- we played with absolutely no rhythm at all. like as if everyone just heard of those 3 fucking songs last night or something.
- did i also mention no sense of timing or don't know when to change power chords during verses?!
- it was plain HORRIBLE. i mean come on lah, katherina can learn roses for the dead within 3 days and we can't even nail that song for 2 WEEKS?! thats more than enough time to learn the song!
- STILL CAN SAY THAT IT WAS NICE. WOW.

Its like as if the only person who learned the songs was me. wtf? i was so pissed last night :/. its like im trying so hard to get things back on track and when stuff like this happens, it just pisses me off so bad. i think the guys from katherina can tell that im really trying hard to get this band started and stuff. URGH. its just f'ing stupid. i'll update later

edit: well its 12:31am now and you can say that im not pissed off any longer because i thought about it and i think that i may be expecting too much. well i mean you can't blame me for being angry because i just feel that its not fair for me but oh well, shit happens. oh yeah by the way, this is gonna be random but i dreamt about something weird and sad last night. this is like a summarised version of what i dreamt. just to keep it short, i dreamt about being at the hospital and lying on the bed being surrounded by all my friends. I remembered Mizi and Aidil saying to me 'good luck man' while everyone else was silent for some reason. then of all questions, i decided to ask 'eh can buy for me food after this?'. ahha no link sia. the weirdest thing was that someone cried after i asked that question. then all i remembered from that moment was me feeling really sad. I woke up after that and i was sweating like a pig even with my aircon at 16 degrees. eee freaky man :/. bah its just a dream, a nightmare maybe. i told my mom that and she kept going 'its just a dream lah, it doesnt mean anything'. but i think it has a meaning behind it eh... nvm i shall find out more about it soon. anyways im really tired and its exactly 1:49 right now so i shall stop it here. ive been delaying this update for like an hour because of TV and UEFA Champion's league highlights on ESPN. im just gonna update tmr then about some other stuffs.

Practice makes perfect

i wanted to update yesterday but i was really tired. i can't update now but i will in about 1 hour 30 mins time. I have to practice some songs for tmr including some paramore songs. i'll talk about it more later when i update this entry around 10:30pm

edit: so as promised, i shall update. its 11:29 now and im 59 minutes late :P. can't blame it lah, i had to revise like 5 or more songs for tommorow's practice session. I went to the gym last night because i didnt work out for quite sometime now so i had to keep my body in shape. I reached gombak gym around 720 and worked out until 845. went to my aunts house to get some things then walked all the way from gombak mrt to CDANS for 187. I was already half dead by the time i reached that bus stop. i reached home about 930 and fell asleep on my bed. slept until 2:30am, showered and accidentally fell asleep while lying down on my bed ahhaa. woke up around 11 i think. i didnt turn off my pc so i was online the entire time :/. so thats why i didnt update last night.





I just realised that the previous paragraph is totally boring and mood-less so i shall talk about other things! :D so i went to the enrollment today and holy crap it took me 5 hours to finish the thing. 5 HOURS! I swear i can die waiting in that queue... bah i dont wanna say much about just now. oh yes, so mizi's band performed on sunday and they were awesome! i like both the lead and rhythm guitar for 'Roses for the Dead' :D. they're doing quite well for the 2nd gig so kudos to Katherina! anyways jack, his girlfriend, halim, isaac and me are gonna go to tiet studio later to play some songs. Jack's girlfriend is gonna sing some paramore songs. i dunno how thats gonna turn out but it doesnt bother me in any way because i already learned alot of paramore songs. normally i just need a girl to sing it then its all good ahaha. we'll definately be playing roses for the dead and my heroine because i already told halim to learn that song a week ago so hopefully he did learn it. you guys can expect isaac singing while i do the screamo for some songs. and finally, we MAY take a video if it turns out good so you guys can see it :). im really looking forward to the session later because i can't wait to do sing, do screamo and play killer riffs!
oh well, i have to get back to revising a few more songs. i'll update soon!

roses for the living, not for the dead!

as promised, i shall update now. anyways i went to katherina's practice session last week and they played their original song 'deceived by distance' and its quite good for their first try. you guys could add a little spice for the refrain or bridge and the outro to match up with the cool drum intro :D. after that we went to vivo to eat and we slacked at the rooftop. AHAH all of us were like making an acapella version of smile in your sleep, which was so hilarious. the most retarded person for that night was mizi because he kept laughing every few seconds :P. so we were happily laughing and suddenly this filipino lady came out of nowhere and started asking us to donate. first she came up to us and looked at me and said 'ni hao'. followed by multiple languages including malay, english and what really sounded like tagalog to us. so just when we thought that the awkard moment was over, she starts singing im yours by jason mraz out of the blue! incoming totally akward/funny moment ahhaa. this probably the strangest moment in my life because somebody random just came up to me and ask so many questions LOL. okay this is how it went :P

lady (looks at me): ni hao!
me and mizi: oh wo bu shi hua ren
lady (still looking at me): *insert some words that REALLY sounded like tagalog because we had no clue what it meant*
me: huh???
lady: oh apa khabar!
us: eh? oh baik!
lady: hello im sorry to disturb you guys but i was just wondering if you wanted to donate to charity.
me: oh i see! *takes out wallet*

lady: tonight you never go out with your girlfriend is it?
me: well umm... uh.
aidil: tonight is friday so its boys night out
lady(looks at me): oh i see, well you should go out with your girlfriend on a night like this you know! im sure you have a girlfriend right? *laughs*
me: well um... heh. *laughs along become i have no idea what to answer to her questions*

man that woman asked so many questions AHAHA. omg it was so random! anyways im going to mizi's gig later at 1:30pm so hopefully i get to take pictures and videos. they're gonna play roses for the dead! i also got back my Pocket POD from halim and ive been fooling around with it ever since. i borrowed jack's guitar and tuned it to drop C to play bfmv songs. it sounds so similar to the real songs if i tune it to drop C :D. thank youuu inbuilt pocket POD tuner! oh well i shall end it here, gnite ppls! :D

california dreamin'

hello ppls! :D i got alot of things to talk about so this entry may be long depending on my mood. besides i havent been making a very long entry in a while so this one's probably gonna be long :P. just to clear things up, yes i did sing a couple of lines for hey there delilah in my previous blog post while tuning my guitar. you're probably deaf if you can't hear it because it was so obvious at times ahaha. especially the line 'give this song another listen, close your eyes.' i was hoping that you guys wouldn't notice it but apparently a couple of my friends noticed it already :(. aww. anyways i wanted to post this picture in my blog for quite sometime now but im pretty lazy these days. its a picture of my nephew! cute right? alot of people said that he looks like me a little bit. no im just kidding, that little guy IS me :D.

so apparently alot of people believed me when i said that thats my nephew AHAH. its me lah! oh man i hope my future son is gonna be adorable. i'd looove to squeeze his cheeks :D. oh yes and my cousin who's really close to me on my dad's side is gonna get married to a taiwanese girl who's half chinese and half japanese woohoo :D. i can't wait to meet the girl! crap im letting his secret out but... nvm nobody on my dad's side reads my blog :P. yes, hes keeping the tradition of marrying some other race alive. its a cool tradition started by my great grandfather who's Portugese. yes, thank you for marrying my great grandmother who is indonesian and starting this great tradition of mixed marriages!

speaking of which, me and my mom talked about it last night. you guys probably dont know this but ever since i was young, my mom always wanted me to marry a japanese girl ahha. she said that japanese girls are healthy, hardworking, loyal and most importantly they dont go for you just for money unlike some asians who aren't that loyal. of course marrying an ang moh would be great but according to her, its kinda risky at times because they tend to leave you for some other person if there's a dispute about things like finance and other stuff especially if shes an american. besides i mean marrying a rich ang moh here means nothing when you go back to his/her home country and find out that he/she is the average kind. that would really suck but unfortunately most of it is true in s'pore. teemu told me once that hes just the average kind of person in finland but he used to live in a frickin 4 storey bungalow at upper bukit timah when he was still in s'pore -_-. well it kinda makes sense if you think about it because of the difference in currency.

well actually i dont mind marrying any race as long as the girl is loyal, lovely and also the girl must not be malay :P. i want to keep my great grandfather's plans for a mixed marriage alive lah. my sis once even suggested to me to marry an eastern european girl because they're really pretty. russians are HOT though.. like that one girl in moscow airport AHAHA. Japanese girls aren't that bad too, some of them are really pretty. i wonder what my children would look like if i married a european. japanese or chinese girl... but i mean the most important thing is that im happy so race doesnt really affect my decision in the future when i get married. the important thing is that i'm in love with the girl whoever she might be in the future and of course, she feels the same way about me. thats the most important thing about a marriage because it wouldnt work if one party only goes for the money. oh well, still long way to go for me. hopefully you do get a lovely wife, Herrizal :D.
