quick lil update

This is gonna be a short update for tonight. I'm getting really tired so i'll keep it short :).

Mizi, Haaziq and me went for swimming on tuesday and it was so much fun. We did our laps by our own time - own target and it was worth it! Mizi pushed me into doing more laps and I did 7 laps. That's a frickin achievement! (for me). Haaziq did 8 laps and Mizi did 12 laps if im not wrong. That boy got so energetic once we got into the pool. must be the army toughening up our mizi eh? ahaha. We may be swimming again tmr but i'll be only free after 5. I have some uh... things to do. Okay moving on! American Idol just now was alright, nobody really shined probably because its still the top 24. Even Janell Wheeler was... sort of good but not as good as her previous performances. Siobhan Magnus is catching my attention because of her high notes in Holywood Week. She sounds like Adam Lambert when she does the high notes! and the best part is that she looks like HAYLEY WILLIAMS tonight! well on some angles. here just listen to this. doesn't she sounds exactly like Adam Lambert?!

okay i'm gonna end it here but before I do so, I wanna talk more about Invader Zim ahaha. I've watched about 20 episodes of Invader Zim on invaderzimepisodes.org and i'm getting more and more frustrated as to why Nickelodeon stopped the production of Invader Zim. There's dark humour everywhere but its still entertaining! okay I admit when I was 10, Invader Zim did scare the crap out of me with the dark stuff. Some scenes were VERY disturbing for a small kid, especially when Zim goes and steals people's organs and replaces them with random stuff. Maybe it should be catergorised as Mature Cartoon you know, like Family Guy or South Park. Invader Zim rocks! Especially GIR! I'm glad that they're gonna show it again on March but I hope they continue making the series! :(. It needs a bloody ending, where you know Zim actually conquers Earth?! The cliffhangers are killing me! Anyway, here's a funny scene from one of the episodes I watched just now.

anyways saturday was the class BBQ. We had a fun time especially when the food cooked by Ryan, Terry, Me and Shanny was delicious :P. Okay la I only helped at times but when I did, the food tasted good :D. Gotta hand it to Ryan and Terry though, pretty good cooks! Then I was tasked to entertain everyone with my guitar. so I sang and sang until I got bored. I like covering Isa's song ABC 123 Doremi and Bad Romance.

alright 10am later: Swimming with Haaziq and Mizi. then from then theres no plans so we'll see what happens. i'll update soon!

I miss watching Invader Zim last time :(. GIR is so random, ahah. i'm gonna start watching invader zim again on http://invaderzimepisodes.org/. oh oh, if you're gonna watch the episdes, look for the episode "Mysterious Mysteries" for season 1 on that website. I assure you, you WILL laugh like hell. alright off to watch more episodes!

The fail is in the air

I hope you guys love the new blog song. ITS SO F'ING AWESOME! The song just makes me feel like playing left4dead 2 or something. you know like blasting zombie heads with the guys, or slashing off their limbs with the katana. okay the reason why i'm being overly hostile towards anything supernatural is because I fell asleep on my bed around 11:30pm just now and my sleep got interrupted by a bad dream around 1:30am. I don't even remember what happened in the dream but it did interrupt my sleep and now here I am. tired, grumpy, half pissed and a little shocked. I haven't been getting enough sleep time these few days so it wouldn't be surprising if I see eyebags when I look in the mirror tmr. BAH.

Anyways let's talk about today shall we? I visited my grandfather's grave with my brother in the afternoon just now because it has been a while since i've been to his grave. I also visited my uncle's grave and my cousin's grave since I was there. It was pretty good to see that my uncle is maintaining the graves well especially for my cousin's one. I wanted to go to swee lee to check out for violins after that but then I realized that it was still a public holiday so its not open. Nothing much happened for today but I am tired... um somehow? I need to hit the gym soon, i've been slacking already :o. I'm also starting my "eat a meal every 3 hours" plan to gain weight. i've only been following it for the past 2 days so we'll give it some time and see if it works.

Mizi's gonna end his BMT on friday so that means I can see him more often after that :D. I'm gonna spend the night watching failblog videos on youtube. here i'll give show you guys some of the videos that made me laugh... a lot.

Violin Lessons!

Omg just listen to the violin at 1:08. It brings tears to my eyes... well not really, but you get the point. The scaling on the piano is wicked and the violin part at 1:08 just seals the deal! I'm still looking for a music school for my violin lessons. So far the cheapest i've gotten was $106 and the most expensive is $250. I wanted the $250 per month for 4 lessons but my mom said that it's a little expensive. Plus she wants me to use my money for my driving license. Argh. It's okay, i'll figure something out!

You know this is like the most cliche part of any movie where the devil sits on my left shoulder and try to taunt me into doing something stupid while the angel says noooo~, do the right thing. One part of me is saying "ask your sis for money, idiot." while the other part says "save your own money, don't trouble others". this is so tempting..... HAH. I've been wanting to play the violin since I was a small boy but i've always had the idea that violin is for rich people. I wish my grandfather was still alive so he could teach me how to play the violin for free. [and also how to speak better Portuguese :( ]

anyways I've already learned the correct technique for percussive tapping/chuckling thanks to tutorials on youtube and i've even added some spice to it. Instead of just 'karate chopping' the strings, I karate chop it while using my pick to hit the guitar. I'm careful not to hit it too hard because it'll scratch the guitar. so instead of it sounding like a plain chuck, I can switch it whenever I want to sound like a foot tap or a chuck :D. Improvised... insanity, okay lame -.-

BBQ just now to celebrate Aidil's younger sister's bday and it was fun. Played a lot of songs on the guitar with aidil, mizi, fai and fizz. We sounded like the bloody radio for 30 mins HAHA. It was cool okay, everyone was listening to us singing... chey. AHAHA. I wanna cover some songs soon with aidil.. aaah. I wanna make it a really good one this time. I can't imagine doing a dual cover of guitar and violin. OH MY GOSH! :D. I'm pretty sure that won't happen so soon because i'll be making more noise than music for the first few weeks of learning violin anyways.

Anyways i'd like to wish all my chinese friends a Happy Lunar New Year. Gong Xi Fa Cai ;). May you all get a lot of ang bao's for this year and may your new year bring much happiness and prosperity to your lives :D.

Oh man, i don't feel so good tonight in so many ways. I'm having my last paper later so I can't wait to get it over and done with. Hello 2 months holiday! I'm probably not in the best mood for tonight so as you can see, i'm not so enthusiastic about the 2 months holiday.. for tonight anyways ahhaa! :D. there's not really much for me to say tonight but here's 2 songs that's stuck in my head for the night. The first one is a japanese song called Brave Heart while the second one is Hide from RED. I love red. I absolutely love how the verse builds up to the chorus for hide. amazing.

I dont understand the lyrics but thank goodness there is the power of internet and its capabilities. I just googled for the translated lyrics (for the jap song) and now atleast I know what the song is about. Oh and yes, i'm loving American Idol because Ellen's in it! :D. Who says she doesn't know a thing or two about music? She has been a great judge so far! Watch out for Andrew Garcia this season guys! I have a feeling that hes gonna go pretty far :) okay back to revision!

Forever

I changed my blog skin :D. Its my first attempt after a long time at editing the skin. I also changed the blog song so I hope you ppl enjoy it. School's gonna end soon and its exam week D: So far the two papers have been rather easy but I fear that the next one will be tough.

anyways Kai, zad and rais dropped by my house after the exams just now to slack and play red alert 3 together ahah. it was so much fun. Zad lah! He counted his GPA and was like "eh that means,even if I don't do the paper tmr I'll still pass right? Okay lah, lets slack". -.-

I'm gonna get back to revision now. I'm still searching for violin lessons. So far the cheapest one was $105 per month while the most expensive but popular one is $250 per month. I still have to buy a violin and my dad asked me to get one that costs around $200+. I can't wait to start learning the violin omg! Although I'm pretty sure that I will produce more noise than music in the first few weeks, just like the guitar. okay back to revision, i'll update soon :D.

Hauntingly beautiful sounds

How random can kai get? ahaha. ohh i'm so gonna miss W36C. Seriously. I've never been so attached to any class compared to w36c. They really made me want to go to school everyday. Everyone is friendly and can get along with each other fine. Every boring lesson will automatically be 'World Cyber Games' day as the guys will find time to play games like red alert 3, CS, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4, The sims 3 etc. The girls in our class are also funny as hell, seriously everyone just clicks with one another.

We had our last day yesterday and it was really a good way to end it. We had pizza, made videos, played red alert against each other, laughed like hell etc. There's one video on facebook that Rais uploaded but I can't seem to embed it here. I just shared the link on my wall a few mins ago check it out and tell me if it works. haaziq and some others can't even see the video on my facebook wall. Apparently its not there??? I think rais set the settings to the video so that only us(in the video) can see it. i'm gonna tell him to change it tmr. basically the video is me interviewing everybody in class and getting different answers and reactions :D. here's some of the comments.

OMGGG i'm gonna miss them ahahaha. We're having a barbecue on the 20th so that's the next time i'm gonna see them. anyways i'm gonna take violin lessons soon! WOOHOO! I was looking at youtube covers and I stumbled upon a violin cover of the pirates of the Caribbean theme. aaaand then I found this video. truly epic. 3:12 in the video onwards is just speechless. It makes me want to play MGS again on my ps2 :(. What a great theme song for a great game! Two thumbs up for the orchestra!



I asked my dad about violin stuff and he goes all like 'Violin is like the king of instruments. The sound is produces is just beautiful". He told me to pick up violin lessons and also according to him, a violin costs much more than a normal guitar. :/. nvm, I've always loved the violin anyways. my mom also wants me to attend lessons. Violin lessons here I come! :D alright I shall end it here, do check out the class video on my wall. i'm gonna crash out for the night.

The fight inside

OMGGG i'm starting to really love songs from RED. They're like a heavier version of daughtry but of course, they're not mainstream :D. The vocalist sounds like the vocalist from Three day's grace + chris daughtry. They deserve more credit man! The band seriously sounds good. I wanna learn their songs on my electric guitar but after hearing the songs again and again, I'm convinced that the guitar tuning is drop C or worse, drop B. My guitar can't handle drop B, it's too low for my strings.

anyways my family had an outing on saturday. Ate seafood at Bedok and then slacked at East Coast Park from 10pm till midnight. Listening to my iPod while watching the waves is damn relaxing man. My dad opened up the most randomest topic ever while we were watching the waves. He asked what type of girl I like. wth? So I told him that I like girls who have a fair complexion, a good heart and a future. I also told him that I prefer chinese girls and my mom instantly went: "Good." HAHAHA. then this happened.

dad: so you like girls who have a fair skin huh?
bro: chinese girls are fair and they have nice legs leh, I think that's why he like. like that girl over there.
me: wait what? *laughs*
shasha(bro's gf): I also have those kind of legs what.
me: too bad ah, I don't like brown skin. ^_^
bro: *laughs*
shasha: pfft.
mom: yeah he doesn't like malay girls.. he likes chinese, korean and japanese girls. they have nice skin and they have nice legs.
me: YES.
dad: hehe. I also like. *smiles at my mom*
*momentary silence*
me and my bro: ooookay... wtf?

Then it became an all out interrogation scene where everyone asks me about my 'preference'. seriously, all the way from east coast until we got back. I'm not sure what my dad asked me but I remember saying to all of them "I just want a girl who has good looks, a good heart and a future. As long as she loves me and is not a gold digger, I'd be more than happy to provide her with everything. It's not yet my time but when it comes, I'll make sure the girl gets what she wants and i'll be careful not to get used. i'm not stupid either, I can tell if the person is right for me or not." and that shut them up. LOL. aiseyyy. but yeah I really meant those words. although it was a quick escape plan from an onslaught of questions, I think I handled it well :D.

alriiight last thing for the night, or morning! I went to the gym with ziq and our trainer Fauzie yesterday. holy balls. it was torture but according to fauzie, it was nothing. my back, deltoids, arms, chest and shoulders are aching like a !@#$%. Beauty is pain... yesss. Oh yeah and I found out that Fauzie recently appeared in the straits times lah. WAH. as national bodybuilder. time for me to train like hell and get bigger. :D. I sense a bigger hole appearing in my wallet from buying protein shakes. It costs $180 per month lah. -_-. Might aswell I buy in the states man!
