hello ppls! :D I just woke up a few minutes ago because i fell asleep while uploading that video onto youtube. i took it to test out how my camera picks up the sound of me playing my guitar through the amp. unfortunately my amp got a little cuckoo and had an irritating buzz sound everytime i turn it on. I took it last night around 3am in the morning but i was lazy to upload on youtube so i did it just now. well anyways the video contains me playing a few riffs and songs for you guys (including decode) so check it out if you want to. i tried to do a pinch harmonic when i turned on my amp and put it to overdrive but holy cow it sounded horrible. im not gonna stretch it any further because im feeling sleepy all over again so im gonna end it here

like i promised in my previous entry, i shall update now. i wanted to update yesterday but some unexpected things happened. i'll explain it to you guys later. anyways i really dont know where to start because theres lots of things to say out ahha. okay let me start off with Katherina's Gig. their gig was f'ing awesome and im not just saying that because im close to them. they played 5 songs and each one of them was covered well. Aidil's screamo for smile in your sleep was damn nice :P. its really hard to sing and do the screamo for 1 song, trust me ive tried alot of times :P. nonetheless, he did it quite well! There was this band that performed after that which really irritated us to the core. i dont want to put their band name here but they're just irritating. you know those rich kids who dont put effort in learning and just believe that expensive gear = good skill? i think you guys are getting what i mean.

so they came and opened their pedal board which contained like frickin 5 or more pedals in it. expensive guitars and bass too! the bass was a gibson, the rhythm was a fender while the lead was a gibson. we were amazed at first by just looking at the gear but soon that feeling pretty much faded away because they were over-doing it. you know like umm.... rolling around on the floor doing screamo :P. theres alot more funny things but i dont wanna say more lah eh? we didnt get irritated by that still... until Aidil went up to the band and said 'good job guys!'. they turned and gave him the 'pfft, why are you talking to me' look. ahya whatever lah. you guys are WAY better than them anyways ahaha, serious! i'll be looking forward to katherina's next gig! followed by us shouting like mad people. this is what you call LOYAL FANS :D.

i was supposed to update yesterday around 3-4am because thats when me, jack and my bro finished playing left4dead. then we got a call from my mom saying that my cousin got into a motorcycle accident in JB and her friend who was riding with her passed away from internal injuries. we sent jack back home and after that we went to my aunt's place to find out about things and also to calm her down. after hearing the fully story, im really convinced that it could be avoided. i mean come on, they called for the ambulance straight after the accident and waited 1 hour plus. still no sign of any ambulance. 5 mins can determine the life or death of a person, let alone 1 hour :/. i felt sad for my aunt because she was like really in shock and worried about my cousin. so thats why i couldn't update last night/morning. we went back from my aunts home around 830am in the morning and i was totally exhausted by then. hopefully my cousin doesnt get charged with anything because from my point of view, its really not her fault. -sigh. this is the exact reason why i dont want to ride a motorcycle. ah i should stop talking about this, its the least i can do to show respect. i shall not explain further.

i think im going to watch the 2nd half of Man Utd vs Inter Milan and Arsenal vs AS Roma. oh yes, halim came over to my house just now and he revived my guitar for me! :D DYLAN, YOU'RE BACK SON! so im gonna take a video of some short riffs later today to basically test out the sound quality that my camera picks up when i play my guitar through the amp. its nice to hear the high squealing sound of the PINCH HARMONIC yeah!! wahhaha :D. oh ya, mizi if you're reading this, please text me the number of your ex workplace can? the feedback thingy at bugis? thanks!

Danny got through!

this is gonna be a really short post because i just got up about 5 mins ago. I fell asleep for 1hr 30 mins while lying on my bed hahha. anyways im happy to say that danny gokey got into the final 12! YEAH! :D It was like a moment of suspense because it was either him or irritating tatiana for the last spot. Tatiana is irritating but her performance was quite good so you could feel the tension, even from watching the tv :P. The first girl who got into the final 12, Alexis something is pretty good too! She lives in tennessee so thats probably why shes good. Tennessee has ALOT of undiscovered or already famous talents. Hayley Williams is from Tennessee :D. It was kinda sad but funny to see Tatiana crying when danny sang his song for the 2nd time. I mean everyone would've voted for her because of her voice but her drama queen act pretty much killed off her voters. well anyways next week's group is gonna be a good one because there's gonna be ADAM LAMBERT! I cant wait to hear him sing. I dunno why but everytime i see adam lambert, i get reminded of isaac LOL. maybe its the hair? hopefully adam does get into the top 12!

lets see i have gym tmr afternoon or rather later and after that, im going straight to katherina's last practice session before their performance on saturday. Jack has been bugging me to learn those songs because apparently he wants to play songs so badly. still searching for that drummerrr.... oh and i'd like to congratulate AIDIL for having a girlfriend. not just any girl ah, this one's a EURASIAN sia! dont play play :P. nice one man! judging form his blo posts, he seems to be extremely happy so all the best doode :D. okay i have to get myself something to drink then im off to bed. i still have my mom's birthday outing to downtown east pictures but i haven't uploaded them yet. i'll upload it when im free.

no pain, no gain.

hello ppls! :D i wanted to update last night but youtube gave me errors on uploading videos so i had to wait until tonight. the video above was taken like about a week ago. if you read my blog a few weeks back, i was having high fever and at times i would cough out jellified blood, remember? yeah the video was taken back then. I was really bored at night and furthermore i was in a really good mood so i decided to do something stupid/random with the bottle opener. my mom bought this drink called oldenlandia water from the seng-sei or whatever you call it. it does look like a bottle of carlsberg but i can assure you that its not beer. drinking is bad for your health people! :P anyways the video is quite dumb so dont tell me that its lame because I already know that its lame :P. oh and if you're wondering, i wanted to be a bartender once so that i can do those kind of stuff :D.

anyways i went to the gym at 2pm just now with jonathan, ziq and wen jie. I didnt go to the gym for 4 days so i had to make this session an intense one. I trained on everything today. Biceps, shoulders, triceps, chest and abs. that 2 hours spent in the gym is just insane! the last thing i trained before we went off was my abs. oh my goodness, no words can describe how painful it was for my stomach. but after 2 hours of torture, it really feels good to see my body growing each time i go to the gym. Jonathan went home after that while me, ziq and wen jie went to lot 1 to have a late lunch. We went to GNC after that to buy wen jie's whey protein. you know what? i found out that the protein that im taking 'wheybolic extreme 60' from GNC is 189 dollars in s'pore. I bought 2 bloody bottles for 72 USD in houston. if you take 72 times 1.4 its 108 dollars and 80 cents. Its a HUGE difference from the price in s'pore man! no wonder i can see the results damn fast ahha :P. i got home around 645 and slept until 930pm. i'm still having cramps now urgh.

okay, time for a cover. i'm playing hoobastank's 'inside of you'. i really don't know why the quality is SO bad even though i picked the best quality in windows movie maker :/. anyways i did this song on the previous saturday(not few days ago) at halim's house. i was in a really bad mood so i didnt play it that well especially for the chorus parts. its supposed to be played with 2 guitars because the lower chords should be played with no distortion. i should've only played the power chords(top 2 strings) since its distorted. nonetheless, i think i played the riffs correctly and they were in sync with the song. I did screw up the solo at one point but i kept going on instead of stopping. i was in a bad mood and i was trying so hard to not yawn because i was just so tired!

anyways, i talked to jack yesterday about the band stuff and so far we're all okay with reviving the band. we just need a drummer and we're all set. so far, 'post love affliction' is not bad for the band name. anyone got any suggestions? we also have a list of songs that we could play. here's the songs that we're thinking of playing.

happy belated bday mom!

hello ppls! :D I just got back about an hour ago from celebrating my mom's belated bday. We went to downtown east around 630pm and ate at sakura. it was a buffet so i took the opportunity to eat alot of things :D. the sweet and sour prawns were lip-smacking deliciousss. blah i wish i could've eaten more. We wanted to play bowling over there but it was packed so we decided to go to Bukit Gombak CDANS. we finished eating around 9 and we arrived at bukit gombak CDANS around 10pm. I got the hang of it after a few tries because i remembered zul and ziq's advices to slide the ball normally. unfortunately it wasnt enough to beat my brother because he kept getting strikes. i think i did alright by scoring 117 considering the fact that im still learning how to bowl properly :P. We finished bowling at 12 midnight and headed home so here i am. oh and i'm too tired write more about what happened today ahha. the pictures are in my camera so i'll upload it some other day.

Yesterday was VALENTINE's day. unfortunately i didnt spend V.day with anyone 'special' because well, don't ask me why. the good thing is that i spent it with my friends playing Left4Dead AHAHAH :D. Jack, his girlfriend and Halim planned it about a week ago but jack's girlfriend bailed out at the last minute because she had to go to a funeral. so the 3 of us played L4D from 10pm to 2am. we got bored of playing the survivors after an hour so we decided to play against some of the people there. me, jack and 2 other random people versus halim and 3 other guys. holy crap playing as the infected is SO AWESOME. instead of surviving, me and jack took down and killed every single one of them by playing as infected. one by one! :D we would always target the injured/limping players and the ones who love to stray away from the group. ahh crap i miss playing as the infected!

well last thing for the night since im really tired right now. i read mizi and aidil's blog and suddenly i got the urge to revive my own band. Katherina is so united and cooperative! whoa i really envy you guys man. oh well, isaac can be our vocalist. me and halim can swap places for lead and rhythm. Jack can be the bassist. the only thing we need is a drummer now. Isaac you got a drummer friend right? if i play rhythm, i can help isaac sing some songs. last but not least, we HAVE to figure out a frickin name for our band because its just weird to practice without a band name HAHA. anyone got any ideas for a good band name? Katherina's drummer, Ahmad is just wow. he's so darn good! crap i can't wait to watch you guys perform at music garage next saturday. its 5:30pm at music garage, tickets are 10 dollars at the door but thankfully i got a better deal from mizi :D. all the best guys! okay im trying really hard to not fall asleep so i should end it here and just go to bed.

hey guys, im not gonna stretch this entry for too long because im dying to play need for speed: most wanted on my ps2. I got hooked by it ever since i played it last night while waiting for spain vs england. im currently driving a mazda rx-8 and a porsche cayman that i won from the 11th and 10th blacklist rival. yessss, steal their pink slips wahhaha :D :D :D. well anyways i was watching 3 friendly matches simultaneously last night or morning. first was Germany vs Norway then Argentina vs France and finally Spain vs England. all the 3 matches were great but the most exciting one was Argentina vs France. Argentina played so darn well considering the fact that they're playing in Marseille (France) and not at home. they won 2-0 while germany lost to norway 1-0. Spain won England 2-0. okay time to talk about American Idol season 8. i have a strong feeling that Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey are gonna go far in the competition. listen to adam lambert's voice and you'll agree with me that he can go FAR. omg his voice is like really high pitched! the song is 'some kind of wonderful - grand funk railroad'

go search on youtube for danny gokey singing 'kiss from a rose'. hes really good too! Danny probably has the saddest background story compared to the other competitors because his wife passed away only weeks before both of them could go for the auditions. ouch thats just terrible :(. so instead of going with his wife, he went to the auditions with his AWESOME best friend Jamar Rogers. everyone would probably agree with me that the judges are RETARDED for making Jamar go out before the voting rounds. I MEAN COME ON?! Danny and Jamar are the best singing partners ever! i dont care, they have to bring jamar back into the competition one way or another because hes so bloody good! I can't believe that they let that irritating tatiana who screams alot go through while they put jamar out. WTH?! horrible, horrible decision man! im supporting Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert all the way this season cause both of them are great singers.

anyways i went to eat with my bro and shasha at bukit timah's al-ameen just now after american idol and while eating we saw this kid who is probably my age driving a frickin BMW. okay fine that's probably his dad's car but still.. blah nvm. just wait until i get my driver's license at the end of this year, oh yeah :D. Isaac is probably gonna get his license AND his car by june and ziq should be having his by october? actually you know what? i shouldn't be jealous about the kid whos driving a BMW just now because it doesnt matter in s'pore. why buy so expensive cars when you can't even dream of getting past 150 on the highway? i'll just wait until i'm married and living in the states then i'll buy a BMW since its way cheaper over there. that kid's BMW costs like about 90000 while it only costs 30000 in US. add 10 thousand more to that 90 thousand and you can buy a 2nd hand lamborghini. sure its 2nd hand but who cares?! its LAMBORGHINI for gods sake ahhaha :P.

oh well, im gonna end it here because im dying to play need for speed most wanted. im going for katherina's practice session later at 6pm so i'll end it here. valentine's day is tmr but as usual im celebrating it alone which is quite sad really :/. I just think that im probably the unluckiest guy in the world when it comes to valentine's day. some stupid shit will always happen either 1. near valentines day or 2. on valentines day itself. ahya dont remind me ah.

my internet is a little messed up tonight for some reason. i havent been updating lately because i was never in the mood to talk about what happened so i just took some time away from everything. mizi, you know what im talking about. anyways i took the video just now at 4 plus. basically its for people who want to learn how to play silverstein's 'my heroine' on the guitar. MIZI, this is for you also because its an easier version to play. trust me! its pretty simple and also i went through it step by step so anyone who wants to learn it on their acoustic/electric guitar shouldnt have any trouble. The other two songs i played in the video after the tutorial are anberlin - the feel good drag and hoobastank - inside of you. both of the songs have fun riffs and solo to play so i gave it a shot. At the end of the video, i played a song that im going to learn but im NOT going to tell you what song it is so just watch the video. no spoilers from me, just watch the video until the end and you'll find out what song i'm going to learn soon. the only clue i'll give to you is that its a sad song. thats all i can say so watch the damn video and dont ask so much questions. (sorry about that, misplaced anger)

I went to the gym just now with fauzie, ziq and wen jie to train. We focussed more on the chest for tonight because we already trained biceps and shoulders the other night. We were supposed to meet at cck mrt control station at 8pm but i met them at the gym at 9pm. I lost my EZ link so i had to walk all the way back from senja lrt to my house to get my mom's ez link pass. I think my pass is somewhere in my room so i have search for it later. well i took a couple of pictures after i finished showering and im quite happy that i can see obvious changes now :D. I took the first picture around last week while the other pictures were taken just now. I took a couple of shots of me not flexing to show to you guys that its not 'freakishly large'. its normal size if i dont flex/harden it so dont worry so much. well i guess i can't avoid it any longer. -sigh. something happened last thursday and i still can't get over it because i keep thinking about things. I mean after all this time right, i still get treated that way and to the point when i can't even finish my sentence... urgh im just speechless. well everyone gets angry at times, but damn that's just rude and uncalled for. I wouldn't do that to anyone especially if the other person is speaking nicely and politely to me because that's just messed up. ask anyone around and they'll tell you that if that were to happen to them, they'd be extremely pissed and give you a mouthful of colourful volcabulary if you know what i mean. it ticks everyone off. seriously, who does that?! blah. besides, its not like i said 'hey, fucker! what the fuck are you up to?'. now if i said that, it would be okay to blast off at me. but thats not the important thing. the important thing is why is there STILL a bloody grudge all this entire time? that is something i really don't understand and somebody has GOT to tell me. it's just really stupid and immature. geez.

I havent been feeling that good ever since that 'thing' happened last week because im just really confused. its weird because i really dont think that i deserve to be treated that way. its like the time when people think that i'm pretending to be the polite guy infront of people. if you're those kind of people, then here's some news for you: I havent been doing that ever since i got blocked on msn 2 years ago by SOMEONE. if you still dont believe me, ask my friends or ask around if im a nice person or not. and if you STILL DONT believe me, then go fuck yourself because you're just self-righteous to the core and think that everybody is wrong and you're ALWAYS right. holy cow im getting so pissed now. i should stop it, its really annoying me to the core. i shouldn't talk about it anymore. you probably have no idea what im talking about but that's the way i want it to be. only my close friends know what im exactly talking about so im just gonna end it here

yup thats me bowling for the first time! :P this is gonna be a short update because i want to have a hot bath before i go to bed so i shall rush this entry :D. I went to west mall at 10am just now for a job application thing with haaziq, wen jie and you zhen. We're supposed to meet the lady there at 10 but she told us that she'll be there at 11. So we slacked at Burger King for awhile and when we got bored, we went to the GNC shop to browse through the proteins and supplements. Right now i think i need more carbohydrate in my diet and also protein so what i bought in houston should be enough. The lady came soon after and we submitted the forms. After that we met zul at bukit batok CSC to play bowling! it was our first time trying out bowling for me and wen jie so it was kinda weird for the first few tries. Wen Jie kept throwing the ball damn slow while i kept putting it to the drain LOL. After some quick but effective coaching by our popular ex west spring student zul, we got used to it and started to finally hit some pins. Ziq would also point out our mistakes at times so they were both helping us. You Zhen missed out for the first few games because she was too shy to play BUT after watching us laugh and having so much fun, she joined in!

I think we irritated the group beside us because we kept pressing the button that has the 'teeeeet' sound over and over. We even played with it as if its an NTUC Scanner and the mc delivery machine AHAHAH. The funniest moment of the day was when my thumb slipped off the ball and it fell behind me. it made such a huge sound and the worst part of it was that it was still spinning so when i tried to get it, it went straight into the drain. WAHKAO. IT DIDNT EVEN CROSS THE LINE! everyone was laughing like mad including me man LOL. if only we caught that on video! you guys would be laughing if you saw what happened. i'm new to bowling lah so its expected :P.

Hello ppls! :D i havent been blogging about anything interesting or funny so i thought why not make this entry be less serious and more about happier things eh? its gonna be quite a long entry with a couple of videos and pictures on the lower half of the entry. well I was searching for left4dead videos on youtube and i stumbled upon a couple of videos that just made me laugh over and over. partly because it has happened to me, ashri, my bro and fauzie once or its just plain funny. Especially for the car alarm part. Of course our reactions weren't as awesome as this guy's but the same thing happened! I guess sometimes its just funny to see everyone panic ahha. this is to show you guys what it really looks like when SOMEBODY decides to shoot the car and sound off the alarm. anyways I went to CCK's gym alone just now around 8pm and i reached there around 850pm so i only had 1hr and 10 mins to work out. I thought that theres not gonna be enough time but it turns out that it was just nice for 1 person. I trained my chest and triceps for today. im telling you, its so much harder when somebody isn't supporting me when i do things like the vertical chest thingy. The first few tries were quite hard but as i went on, it got easier. I skipped the last gym session because i was really sick so i can't afford to miss anymore. Stopped around 955 and walked all the way from CCK Stadium to CCK Mrt station. LRT'd home and i got back around 11pm. Oh and i have this habit of not showering the moment i step into my house ahha. im such a lazy ass at times :x. pfft, what a pig. dont worry im all showered up by now if you're wondering.

Alright here more left4dead videos by the same guy. the first video is self-explanatory so i shall not spoil the fun. The 2nd video is his friend being the last survivor. His reaction for the hunter that popped out of nowhere is almost the same as ours without the constant cursing of course hahaha. the funniest part about the 2nd video is when he says 'this time, this game is my bitch.... except right now!' and he starts cussing so fast LOL. i have no idea how many words he can squeeze in 5 secs man. you have GOT to listen to it ahha.

alright so KATHERINA is back :D. the band mates are Mizi, Aidil, Isa, Hafiz and Ahmad! Initially aidil and mizi asked me to play bass but i turned the offer down. Isa's gonna play the bass instead woohoo. I'm gonna watch them at Music Garage on the 21st February and they asked me to take pictures and videos of their performance. i'll do it for them but first i have to find my volt-converter thing because my adaptor is US made instead of UK so the voltage is different. oh and mizi owes me a huge favour for KILLING MY DYLAN. thanks alot for killing my guitar man, really appreciate it :P. My baby had so much potential and you took his life away. nooooo :(. you know how we can be fair? you can let me jump on the stage while you're playing and i'll start rocking away on BFMV/All that Remains Riffs and solos that i've learnt on my SILENT electric guitar. then and only then, we can be fair AHHAA. okay well i have some extra photos that are still floating around in my pc so i shall upload them here since my sis wants to compile them all.

Now if you're wondering how come theres no photos of me, well its because everyone is happily taking pictures while im the one who takes the pictures for them! -.- its like i travel all the way to the states and i dont take much photos of myself. wth? eh its alright, for the entire trip my sister was like a supermodel. always asking me to take photos of her while she poses and stuff. she did get offered once to become a model for a magazine in the states but she turned it down. she also told me that she did modelled for a couple of magazines in singapore when she was back in s'pore. I have alot more photos but its still in the camera and i can't find the bloody volt converter to charge it so i have to ask it from my mom when she wakes up later. I miss the states man! my 500 channels! cash cab, 90210, interesting ufo/alien documentaries, 10 soccer channels and downloading things at 1.5 MB/sec. man it sucks here! its alright, 8 years to go Herrizal. 8 years (or maybe lesser) to get a good education, job and a loving wife and then im OFF TO SOMEPLACE ELSE BABY! (by then i think you're going to be the pilot of my flight ah ziq?)

okay ive delayed this entry for too long now. here's the last thing for this entry. the funniest Left4dead video BY FAR AHAHAH. man just thinking about it makes me laugh. this was almost the same case when ashri died 1 metre away from the helicopter that COULD'VE evacuated him out of the hospital rooftop. he was the only survivor left because me, my bro and fauzie were either killed or lying on the floor getting stomped/kicked/punched/hit by atleast 30 zombies. this guy entered the 'safe room' and... something funny happened towards the end AHAHA. watch the top screen

self imposed jet lag

dont ask me how come i havent slept yet. honestly i dont even know :/. anyways just to clear things up, i can appeal for the JAE-Appeal exercise but i don't meet the requirements for certain courses like ECE in NP. it needs my math to be c6 but i got d7. I can appeal to the courses that has d7 for math for the requirements provided that i get equal or better than the cut off points for that course. Dont get confused about the DAE thing and this appeal because they're 2 different things. I hope that cleared things up. oh and this JAE-appeal thing is gonna end at 4pm later so if you want to do it, do it fast. I have no idea why i havent slept yet even though i have gym later on at night but whatever.

words of advice

first of all, i'd like to say this: YES i deleted my previous entry because it was too whiny in my opinion. I deleted it already so i dont have to worry about it anymore :P.

well i've been chatting with my friends and im really surprised that some of them get schools and courses that are SO far away like ITE Bishan, Temasek Poly and ITE Simei. well for me, even though i didnt get NP atleast RP is not far since its at woodlands. Alot of my friends who got to those choices are using the online JAE Appeal Exercise to try and appeal to a school & course thats closer to them. Here's my advice to you guys who got those schools in the east: NO course is worth travelling 2 hours every morning just to get to school. I mean even if its really your interest, it's not a wise decision to go to a school thats far away from where you stay. I respect you guys' decision if the course you want is at those far schools but you guys have to really think about it. I'll explain to you why. Think about it, imagine waking up at 5:30am everyday and lets say you take 30 mins to get ready for school. getting to the MRT station itself is like 10 mins. it takes 1hr 30mins to get to the east side. once you're there, add another 20 minutes for the bus to bring you to your school. so thats 8am or 8:10am already if the bus comes late. it really depends if you are willing to sacrifice alot of time just getting to school and to go back.

so school is 8am to 5pm. when you wanna go home, you have to spend another 2 hours to go home so its 7pm. you have to rest, do your work, watch tv etc and sleep at 12am wake up at 5:30am again. the cycle goes on and on for 2 or 3 years. Im pretty sure, every course in poly has this group work thingy that everyone must do. so instead of going home at 5, you're gonna go home at like 6:30pm. now you're gonna get home later than usual and i dont think the remaining time is enough. you spend more than 10 hours a day just for sch which in my opinion, is crazy. it gets really bad if you have project work.. Even if your desired course is at those FAR away schools, i don't think that its the only solution. there must be other solutions that are nearer right? hours of travelling to and fro would probably make me sleep in class all the time and that would probably lead to bad grades? :X. I should know better cause i sleep in class often last time ahha. my sis used to travel to and fro during her poly(NYP) and she really regretted after just 1 month. i'm not trying to psycho you guys but you also have to think about the time & energy spent on traveling, long sch hours and most important your own free time after sch. if you're willing to do it and your interest is really there then i can't say much.

Remember people, this thing ends on 3rd February, Tuesday. well basically its tmr since its already Monday morning now. the online thingy ends at 4pm on Tuesday. you got 3 choices for any course to appeal into and the results will be out on 9th Feb. of course, you have to meet the Cut-Off points. they'll ask for a valid reason but im pretty sure that if you say that the school is bloody far from where you live, they'll agree with you. for you guys who are appealing into a different course that you want, all the best and hopefully you get it. okay i shall end it here because my fever's back up again! it got worse just now because i coughed out 'jellified' blood. eee.
